"ExamCram" Information

ExamCram is a one day (7 hour) study session where each student works through a Study Guide which prepares the reader for a Amateur Radio Licenses exam session.  The study is self paced and there will be adequate instructors/tutors available to handle individual questions during the day.

ExamCram workbooks are available for both the Technician and General Class Licenses.   In order to participate in the General Class Exam Cram study session, the student must hold Technician Class license or have a valid Technician CSCE.

Following the 7-hour study session, the students will be given the opportunity to take the license exam in order to obtain an FCC issued license.

The sessions typically start at 8:00 AM and with a break for lunch, conclude at approximately 3:00 PM.  At that point, examiners administer the license exams.   This schedule is "typical" but may vary for specific sessions.   The registration confirmation e-mail will provide the exact details.

To cover the cost of the study materials, the ARA Group asks for a donation to ARA.   The suggested amount is $15.

In order to be properly prepared for each session, the ARA Group must have adequate materials printed and adequate instructors available.   Therefore, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED at least 48 hours prior to the start of a session.   No walk-ins will be accepted.   The ARA Group also reserves the right to close registration early when a particular session if full.
